Firework Hunting: Happy 4th of July!
There are so many ways to celebrate our nation’s independence, but our personal favorite might be, “the rockets’ red glare!” That’s right, we are fireworks-lovers here at Picnic Time.
We are a sunny SoCal company, which means that we leave the fireworks displays to the professionals. But you might say we are professional appreciators of a good fireworks show! Since the holiday falls on a long weekend this year, we’ll be traveling all around to get all the fireworks we can take – and you know we’ll be eating, drinking, and celebrating the heck out of the holiday as we go!
Our first stop is the Hollywood Bowl for a Friday night concert with – for real – Kool & the Gang! What?! This outdoor venue has a special history, not to mention a very generous policy of allowing picnicking and BYOB. We’ll be coming equipped with a bountiful wine and cheese picnic in the Malibu Picnic Basket Cooler:
And the Festival Blanket so we can snuggle up and enjoy the show after the sun goes down:
Next up, inspired by last night’s cooler, we’re hitting Malibu Surfrider State Beach for a relaxing Saturday ending in a fireworks display over the ocean. We’ll protect ourselves from the sun and the sand all day long with the Manta Portable Beach Tent:
And we’ll have plenty of fresh snacks and chilly bevs all the way into the evening with the Tahoe XL Cooler Tote Bag:
Finally, we’ll wind up the fun with Sunday camping in Big Bear, complete with a fireworks show right over the lake! We’ll be comfy as all get out in our Big Bear XL Folding Camp Chair with Cooler:
And we’ll be keeping the cold drinks flowing with the Camping Party Cooler with Stand:
We can even safely BBQ with our Portagrillo Portable Propane BBQ Grill! Reminder, always double-check what your campsite allows before lighting up. Safety first!
Thankfully, that will leave Monday for some much-needed R&R after a whole weekend of celebration! I do believe we’ll find most of our rest and relaxation in the Whiskey Box Gift Set:
Wherever you call home, we hope that you and yours are able to enjoy some breathtaking fireworks this weekend – along with plenty of time with family and friends. Happy 4th of July everyone, and we’ll be back Tuesday…
